I’m a very soft touch, and it’s extremely rare that I have to enforce these policies, but it’s good for everyone to have them in writing.
Scheduling
Lessons are scheduled on a recurring basis, either weekly or every two weeks, on a regular day and time. At first we may schedule every week’s lesson as we find a schedule that works for each of us. I teach Thursday through Monday.
Billing/payment
I ask students to pay for each month’s lessons at the first meeting of that month, though I can make exceptions when necessary. Usually during the first month lessons are paid for week to week, as we get acquainted, and you decide you want to continue on a regular basis. Remember to check your calendar to see if the current month has four lessons, or five (or two vs. three, if biweekly).
Missed lessons
Please contact me at least 24 hours before your lesson to reschedule. I am unusually flexible and understanding of circumstances, but I cannot give credit for, or reschedule, lessons missed without notice. I do bill for non-pre-payed lessons scheduled and missed.
If something goes horribly wrong and I have to reschedule your lesson at the last moment, we will do a make-up at your convenience, or credit the missed lesson for the following month.
Refunds
Sorry, I can’t give refunds for partial months of lessons. If for some reason you need to discontinue lessons in the middle of a month, I can credit you for the missed lessons at such time as you are able to make them up.
